Finding Redemption

Katerina once was a happy person, full of joy and serenity. But that all changed when the vampire's attack her village as a child. In a rush of desperation to save her baby sister the young Katerina ran into the forest to hide from the vampires. Her baby sister cried loudly as Katerina ran, knowing the vampires were on their trail she covered her sisters mouth to keep her quiet until the vampires left. Unknown to her at the time was that she accidentally smothered her sister in the attempts to make her quiet. Once she realized what she had done, something within her broke, perhaps it was her innocence, her child like mind set. Whatever the case, she walked back to her now destroyed village and buried the corpses of her village family.
A knight of the brotherhood found her and took her back to the order where over time she became a master swordsman and knight of the brotherhood. Since the age of eighteen she has wandered the country side defeating the minions of the Dark lords in hopes of one day finding redemption for herself for murdering her baby sister.

Adella Quinn: Such a strange girl, Katerina found her when she defeated a lycan that terrorized her village. None of the other villagers liked her, they said she was cursed, but Katerina could see pass that. At first she didn't want to take the child from her mother but to leave her there would sign Adella's death certificate. So when Katerina left, so did Adella. They've been traveling together since then, it took a little getting use to but Adella is the little ray of sunshine in Katerina's world of Darkness.
