Zobek: Lord of Death

If the recorded chronicles of the Brotherhood are to be believed, Zobek is one of their longest serving warriors. The list of heroic deeds attributed to him is as impressive as his vast knowledge of the art of war or indeed the mighty fighting skills he can deploy, despite his age.His weapon of choice is a simple long sword which he handles with skill and alacrity. Like his other founder comrades, he fought to defend the Earth from the minions of hell and succeeded. Once his job was through, he, along with Carmilla and Cornell traveled to their purification sites. He chose the southern point for it was close to the place of his birth. When he ascended to heaven, he left behind the twisted vile form of himself who would becoming the physical embodiment of Death himself.

Death is cunning, devious and deadly. He influences those who are weak of mind to do his bidding. He is a powerful creature with control over anything dead. The Lords of Shadow, as these beings became known, formed an uneasy truce between themselves. Zobek however became resentful of this fact and wanted to gain power over the others. He probed the depths of Hell for knowledge on how to acquire such power. There he unknowingly came under the influence of Satan, who provided him with knowledge of the dark arts. Zobek remains in his human form to manipulate others to do his bidding. Clothed in the ancient uniform of the Brotherhood he often disguises himself as one of their ranks and gains their trust only to betray them and cause them to meet a bitter end.
